100% Height??!! Why don't it work

Hi guys,

I'm trying to create a page that has a gradient background with a black content div in the centre which stretches to fill the height of the window.

I've just been trying to get this black content bit in the centre with a 100% height like this:

html, body, #wrapper
{
height: 100%;
height: 100%;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}

#wrapper
{
margin: 0 auto;
text-align: left;
width: 1024px;
background-color: #000000;
}

this works just fine in IE but not in firefox. I know that 100% is in relation to it's parent height, but is there any way to get around this so that the div will be 100% of the window height without using javascript.

CSS coding - 2 background images (one left aligned, one right aligned) .. is that possible?

Hey'all,

I'm trying to reskin an invisionfree forum page to look as Star Trek-y as possible for a friend's game. For that, I set myself up a 'sandbox' or 'playground' page to test the skin on.

http://z15.invisionfree.com/SilkesPlayground/index.php?act=idx

As of right now, the background image is one big (paige filling) one, best viewed in a resolution of 1280 by X, else the right hand margin will be messed up and come up underneath the actual forum.

I WOULD like to enter 2 background images into the code, one left aligned (currently seen in the left hand margin), one right aligned (I would split the background image in two jpg files for that of course). I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get the program to understand TWO background files and not go with only one of them, ever :P

Help please?

I am new to RSS. I am looking to display the RSS feed I've generated in a website I've built in HTML, designed with CSS. Does anyone have any experience with this. I have not been able to find a solution, though I know I need to attach an XSL stylesheet to the XML file.

I am looking to display the feed in two different locations: the first being inside a sidebar that is on every page; and the second, on a main page that will list the entire feed.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if this is part of the html or css... does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?

CSS Background

Hello All-

So, I'm a tables/frames/html junkie who is trying her first hand at a mostly CSS site. I've created a background page that holds the framework of the site and have used a table to place the main content in the center of the page. It's testing great in Firefox, Safari, ie6 and Netscape on my computer, but I've had my testers come back with the following issues:

*in ie6, my background image is getting cut off and they can't scroll to see the rest of it
*my content table is running into the bottom of the background image in Firefox and Safari on smaller browser sizes

So, my questions are:

How do I make sure that the whole background image can be seen in every browser?
How can I keep my table completely centered and not have my info shift into the bottom of the background image?

I would usually do this using my tried and true table/frames method, but I really want to use this as a way to learn CSS.

Here's the link to my site... any help would rock. Or if you can point me to some good resources for fixing my errors, I would greatly appreciate it...

newbie DWMX2004 question - images won't show

Preface: I am a complete novice at Web design, other than dinking with code on a blog template. I am trying to design a Web site using Dreamweaver MX 2004.

The first few times I worked on the pages, I could preview them and things looked fine. However, I have recently added images to two pages, and when I preview those pages the images do not show up. The images are being placed within tables, though I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I have done the same thing with all the images: Taken them into Photshop, saved them for web and shrunk the size down to about 600 pixels wide. I have put a copy of the web images into the main folder for my web files. I'm a little perplexed and would appreciate any help.

how to do this?

i cross posted on another forum, hoping to figure this out to do by myself or hire someone to do it..please respond to akaisilksinfo@yahoo.com
aloha

i'm going to use victorias secret link to show what i'm asking:

http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=XC-119489&page=1&cgname=OSBRPSSSZZZ&rfnbr=23

if you roll over the color swatches on the side, it will enlarge the swatch so you can see a larger image of it

i dont remember what site i saw it on but it was a fashion site and the web designer did something similar...he used one model in the same pose (i think it was the same exact image) and the color swatches were arranged on the side..when you clicked on each color swatch, it would change the model's clothes...so by clicking the swatch you could see the same dress in red, blue, pink etc.

how oh how is this done? I'm willing to hire someone to do it unless its something i can be tied to a chair to complete? it would help immensely with building an online catalog..show one pic of rectangle veil avail in these colors, then one pic of half circle veil, one circle skirt, one poncho, one nightie etc

So I have people ask me now and again what I use to create my websites. These are people who just want to put together some little site for themselves, so investing in the software, and learning a very robust program that is more than they need, doesn't seem like a good suggestion. So for people who just want to whip something up for themselves, what do you recommend?

Im learning web design on my own in both flash and dreamweaver and was wondering if someone could direct me to some good sites or books to teach me tricks for letting clients make their own changes to the sites. For example, If I design a site but want the normal nondesigner/ non computer wiz to be able to change the images or text what is the best and easiest way for them to do that? Plus on zero budget please.

hosting reliability and live support

I webmaster a simple business site.

I have a couple of problems. The company we've been hosted on (web site and email) has been sold several times and they're reliability has gotten pretty bad. Our Web site and email goes down periodically. They moved our site from one server to another several months ago and all our secure scripts no longer worked. They still haven't been able to fix it. Currently, our Email goes down regularly - like right now... and I've still been unable to get hold of a support person (on hold for the past 2 hours).

I also need some web design stuff - especially related to anything beyond basic HTML.

What I'd like to do is find a solid local SF Bay Area hosting service - or at least one that is extremely reliable for a business. And if there is a problem - the opportunity to contact someone that has a clue as to what they're doing in a reasonable amount of time.

Any suggestions or if you are the one - please let me know.

Thanks,

Does any know of a salon management system that's open source?
I've been searching a couple of open source sites I know of but haven't really found anything- the closest I've come is resource mgmt apps (like scheduling conference rooms, etc.)....
Functionality should allow one to schedule a person, note service, show calendar for all hairdressers...
retail and payment functions would be great too...

If you know of something let me know-

thanks,

I'm wondering...

Is a web designer these days useless without the skills of PHP or Drupal?

I'm taking a brief course in web design and, having little experience in coding, PHP has shown me the importance, but also the steep learning curve.

What do you think?

NEW VIDEO SITE - Design feedbacks

I don't post to my group a lot, but when I do, that is when I can really use the help of the community.
So recently, my friends and I started a service called www.uberchannel.com.
It is a small project that I have worked on with a couple friends. We just did a silent launch and would like to see what the designers think of the UI and how we can improve our site.

You can give your respond via video (yes, you can praise us or tell us how much we suck in full motion video) @
www.uberchannel.com/channel/50

But pls take a look @ the site first so the feedbacks will be constructive and we will do EVERYTHING we can to improve!

Thanks!

I have 4 images I want to display within a container, one at a time, by clicking next.
Very simple in style.

Display Window

previous 1 2 3 4 next

i've been trying to search the net for info, but I guess I'm putting in the wrong search words.

Any advice?

I need to work out a way to be able to refresh my web content daily. The most important part of this would be to have it reflect the date on the user side and not the date at the server. I am assuming that something will need to utililize the Today's Date Javascipt to detect the user's date, but don't know how to use it to bring up the appropriate content.

What is the most highly recommended legitimate college or website, free or paid that offers all classes online for a web development or web design degree beginning with the very basics? What is the best resource for learning how to design websites and/or develop Web 2.0 software from the bottom up? Any advice would be helpful. I’m looking for actual courses, because I think I’ve already bookmarked every tutorial out there known to man.

Sorry for the cross-post, (in ALL ABOUT DESIGN), but I just found/joined this tribe ; )

I'm heading strong into the wonderful world of web design and buying a new laptop in the near future. And this has me wondering what everyone else is using. I'm going with the MacBook Pro, I think (cringing at the price), waiting to buy until after the unknown Apple annoucement on Monday.

What kind of computer are you using for your graphic/web/illustration designing?

I don't work for a corporation, strictly looking for info on what the majority are using.

I know this really sounds easy to you but to me it is not. I do a lot of work in InDesign CS, Illustrator CS and Photoshop CS but I want to place my work on the web but I tried exporting my work from IDCS and ILLCS but there's no quality on the outcome of the files specially when working with InDesign CS making a PDF file but when I open it in Photoshop CS the image is jagged even though I do my work @ press settings (130-150 dpi) but I need help on this one so all of you WEB savvy please lend a hand and NO I don't want to do it in Dreamweaver or Freeway Pro it takes too long for me to do them in those two programs.
Thanks for your help!

HELP - Any advice on what I could do with this beginning site?

Does anyone have any ideas on how I might revamp www.jennifersardam.com this fledgling try at a self-promotion website? Even though I am now just beginning part-time in consulting as a writer/photographer, I want to begin getting my stuff together in one place now for my professional life as it unfolds.

For example, I’d like to re-label “News,” “Events,” “Products,” “Slideshows,” and “Documents,” but I’m not sure yet what I want them to say to best display my materials.

Any ideas on the design, or what could be added? Anything would be helpful.

I was thinking that News could maybe be renamed to my Blog. Maybe Products could be my Articles that are in PDF format. Slideshows could be Photos, and Documents could be….?

This site is a test drive site I began when the design firm put my site together. I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to go from there, and they said I could always get with them on that later.

As a writer, I am more word-oriented and less design and visually-oriented, and although I take decent photos, I seem to be design-deficient. Thanks in advance.

Hi people,
I've made a few websites and thought adding:
<meta name="description" content="bla, bla">

would do the trick for creating the key words for google search. But it doesn't. I also put in all the key words, as Doteasy hosting asks you to do when registering.

What else should I do? Thanks!

Hey there,

So, I'm building a site using tables and, though everything looks awesome on the Mac end, it shifts around funny in PC. I'm not quite sure what's going on: I'm using a static layout with CSS (the way I've built sites in the past), but internet explorer is ALWAYS a pain in the butt.

Should I take the site out of tables? I generally like using tables to sort elements, especially for making center aligned pages. I'm more comfortable with designing/programming in Flash, but I was trying to shy away from it and do more HTML for this site due to load time, etc.

Any help? Any ideas/input on why my site is getting messed up in Internet Explorer? ... any help would be greatly appreciated.
Getting from Illustrator or Quark to a website page - I am ignorant

Please don't laugh at me or talk over my head. I have been a print designer for a long time and I work mostly in Quark 6 and Illustrator 10. I now have a need to take my design work and publish it on my client's website. Okay, I know about rgb, web safe colors...but CAN PEOPLE RECOMMEND THE EASIEST SOFTWARE TO USE FOR CREATING WEB PAGES OR FOR TAKING A PAGE LAYOUT AND PUBLISHING FOR WEB?
I often rely on the kindness of strangers. Thank you.

We currently have two tribes with nearly the same name:

http://web-design.tribe.net/
(moderated by Nick)
and
http://webdesign.tribe.net/
(moderated by Jack)

What do folks think about requesting these two moderators get together and consider consolidating into one tribe?

(And we also have http://htmlcoding.tribe.net/)

cross posted to both, Web Design and WebDesign tribes.

help with proposals...

Still new to the web design arena...I am getting better, but still not sure how to approach the business end of it....
I've gotten a few gigs, and now I have been asked to submit a proposal, which includes so many elements that I don't know how to word to get me the job.

for example of the things they are asking:
"indicate the programming languages and database structures that you would plan on using for the development of the site. Please include reasons why you feel that this approach to the technology of the website would be the most favored."

"Please include your ideas and recommendations for a web hosting solution and identify the costs involved. If this will be hosted at your location, then provide us with details of the server technology that will be used. If this will be provided through a second party, we will need information about the provider. Also include a recommended strategy for backups and redundancy."

"As part of the proposal include details about your process of providing training on the administration of the new website. Indicate how you plan on delivering ongoing support and training for the website."

"Once the site is developed, we will want assurances that the site’s functionality and performance will be under warranty. Please identify what will be considered warranty work, and what will consist of additional billable work, and for what period of time the warranty will cover."

Is there anyone who has a sample of a proposal you have submitted? or can help me with these questions?

Thanks,
Ryan

any help with this? (chronological event listings...)

I have designed a website for a company that has a list of meetings and dated events.
I would love to create a device on the homepage called "Whats Next" (or something) that will automatically list the next event, where based on the computer knowing what date it is today, it will automatically put up on the homepage the next chronological event. I imagine you create some data bank or something. Its new territory to me.

Is there a way (I'm sure there is....) to do this?

any help would be greatly exciting.
thanks.

ActionScript 2.0 gurus?

I need assistance with action script (technically this is not for a website, but I thought this might be a good place to look). Specifically, I need help making the swap function (which I have yet to figure out how to get through action script) random.
What I want to happen: A grid of movie clips. Click on any movie clip, it plays a sound file, then switches to a random other movie clip. What's essential is that if the movie clip you clicked on is part of grid A, then it can only switch to a clip from grids B, C, or D (in order to minimize repetition of clips that are visible at one time).
I've got the sound file. I figured out a way to get it to output random text as a variable with the trace function, but that doesn't seem to have gotten me any closer to actually getting it to output (as in, have the original clip be replaced by) another random movie clip at the end of the initial clip's timeline.
THANKS!

In need of on-site Web Designers for Contract work in LA… baby!

I work in Los Angeles for a company called Aquent (www.marcom.aquent.com). I'm trying to find all the amazing hands-on Web Designers who have been on the lowdown since the slowdown in the earlier part of the decade (not to mention century).

Specifically, I'm looking for Web Designers in the greater LA area to help our clients create truly knockout, high-profile sites, rich text e-mails, and more.

These are the minimum things one needs to have in order be considered:
* 4 years of experience designing large corporate or entertainment sites with both informational
and transactional capabilities.
* strong design and technical skills with an emphasis on user-friendliness and accessibility
* a background in print is a big plus.

What's the job? (you all probably know the basics, but...)
Web Designers will be responsible for creating the look and feel of sites from initial concept to completion, concentrating on the elements of visual appeal, usability, and navigation. They will need to ensure consistency in templates and graphical elements and utilize site-wide color and typeface standards as well as accomplish the following:

- Strategizing to arrive at a cohesive vision and organization for both internal and
external Web sites
- Working with project teams to determine site, page, and applications requirements
- Creating test pages, templates, and other graphical elements
- Staying up-to-date on standards and best practices in Web site development
- Managing the content pipeline
- Ensuring site design integrity and quality control

Of course, it goes without saying that they should be an on-their-feet thinkers and able to meet stringent deadlines and conceptualize with multiple options and solutions for every project that comes down the pike.

Software applications needed for these positions are:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Dreamweaver
- Flash (ActionScripting a plus)
- Web Production skills a HUGE plus!
- Knowledge of other Web apps

The benefits to working with our company are many: competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, bonus pay, and matching 401(k).

For consideration, we'll need to see at least 3 professional corporate or entertainment Web sites (functional and live) represented (screen shots and/or URLs).

If this sounds like someone you know, please forward him/her this job description.

Sorry, these are all full-time, onsite positions. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - NO RELOCATION OFFERED

Thanks!
Now I would like to add a behavior for a close sign that I have inside the window to close it.

Slideshow: IE vs Firefox

Please take a look at http://www.endofhisrope.net/Diary/2005Diary/September2005.htm Look at it with both IE and FIrefox.

Pay no attention to the stupid pictures -- it is just two dorks having fun. The slide show was created with some Codelift.com code recommended by someone, somewhere on Tribe.

But I'm curious if you see a problem when viewed with IE. For me the IE renders the pix with lots of white pixels; on FIrefox the images are clear. Any idea why this is? Or it is just my PC?

The jpgs that make up this slide show are standard stuff; IE shows other jpgs just fine. Could this CodeLifter code be the cause of rendering problems?

Any other ideas for creating slide shows?

Thanks,
Paul

Howdy ~

So I'm html stupid.. I have a blog on Blogger and mostly just need help w/ fonts, font sizes, spacing, etc.. mostly little changes on the existing provided template. My online user counter never works - guessing the server of the one I've added is always f'd up - and finding another for free that I can customize as far as just the revising of saying something different than ' 2 people online' isn't happening.. I also don't know how to add a graphic to my header.. or change one around that I find so that it's not completely stolen from something I find online.. So I'm looking for advice, help.. direct assistance of some kind or just a point in the right direction cuz trial and error is driving me crazy. I do know some friends who could help, but they all are pretty busy trying to keep their own baby companies running. And tho I'm looking for something free - I do know people's time costs money.. I'd be willing to pay, but girl is on a budget.. Thoughts?

thx!

i am trying to build a small scale mp3 download area and streaming radio service to my existing website which is in the process of having itself a make-over.

i'm just having a devil of a time finding anybody i can trust or who isn't busy. i need recommendations on who to talk to about building this sort of thing. just a few recommendations on who you all think is a great firm or person for the job.

if a software program is available to DL and is easy to install that also may be of help but only if the look of the program is easy to mod'/ customize.

you may also reply to

DHTML Menu able to point to a frame?

I was wondering if the above is true?

What I am trying ot do is make a 3 frame site for a club I belong to. The DHTML menu in question will be in the frame on the left (roughly 15% of the page and I refer to as the contents page) and will refer to the frame on the right (rest of page, which I call the main.html, excluding the top frame). I have the menu setup, but looking at the code, it wants to put the page the menu refers to in the contents frame. I changed this line (var DocTargetFrame='space'; // Frame where target documents appear) to refer to the main frame, but it then moves the whole menu in the main area.

I hope this isnt confusing anyone, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this script refer correctly to the main html page?

thanks.

I'm working in Fireworks MX 2004. There's a globe on a banner ad that I want to animiate. In Fireworks, I selected the globe, I converted it to a symbol and chose animation as the type of symbol. I specified the options in the animate dialog box and optimized it as an amiated gif.

I exported it so I can use it in Dreamweaver. I'm able to see the animations in Fireworks but when I previewed in the browser - no animation at all.

Did I leave out something or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thank you

anyone know how to create this? Is it made with HTML or Javascript? I've been searching for a solution but cant find anything.

help with a flash intro/use of template

Aloha, I'd like to add a flash intro to my website at www.akaisilks.com ...I use Front Page and know very little about web design so I will probably have to hire someone to help me , but wanted to ask first.. I found a flash template here: http://templates.bigwebmaster.com/flash_templates/pxts-flash-site-9256.html

Really like the design, how it starts off in quadrants, then flashes into pictures although I could do without the music and the fancy way it goes to another picture (a simple change would be fine) .

When you purchase a template like this, is it possible to use the flash ONLY on the first page, or splash page of the site (I want to create it so users can bypass the flash if they want to). Also is it possible to alter/customize the template ( I have plenty of images) by making the display window a bit larger, possibly adding a pretty border, and adding more tabs on the right side?

Is it easier to purchase this template and hand the project over to someone who can alter it OR just design from scratch (and what is the price comparison?)
mahalo in advance (and if you are interested please email me at akaisilksinfo@yahoo.com )

Usability/User experience

I wanted to get some feedback from web designers/producers/etc....

1. Do you work alone? With a small group? Within a company?
2. Do you consider usability/user experience when designing sites?
3. Do you feel you possess the right skills to make choices concerning usability/user experience?
4. Have you ever sought someone with those specific skills?

The reason I'm asking is that I want to become a usability consultant. I've been reading a lot about website marketing, etc. and want to hear from folks who would be potential clients about what they think and what they might look for.

I'm not asking for a critique of a website or anything like that, just your thoughts on those skills, if you would find them useful, and how you would go about finding/buying those skills.

Thanks!
Ron

I am considering something like this site http://www.oceanlight.com/print.php?img=02445 but am not sure how to go about it. How do I post photos and insure that people can't right click and save them on their computers to print? I am thankful for your help!

Joomla CMS...

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that I've setup a tribe for anyone using, or interested in using, Joomla!

You can come join us at http://tribes.tribe.net/joomla

Here's some basic info on the CMS, for people who don't know:

The name Joomla! is a phonetic spelling for the Swahili word "Jumla", which means "all together" or "as a whole". It was chosen as the entire teams behind Mambo were unanimous in their commitment to protecting the interests of the creators and community, which was the true cause for the success and acclaim earned by that project.

This name was chosen from thousands of recommendations by the community, and even went through an arduous review session by branding and marketing professionals who also felt that Joomla! was the best choice of the lot.

What sets Joomla! apart from the rest is our dedication to keeping things as simple as possible, while providing the most features possible. Finally, non-technical people can have complete control over their websites without paying exhorbitant amounts for closed, proprietary software.

Joomla! is more than just software, it is people. The community behind Joomla! includes developers, designers, systems administrators, translators, content writers, and most importantly the end users. We welcome you to our community, and look forward to the future with great excitement!

is 85$ too much for a flash site

Hi,

I'm just trying to get some feedback on this becuase i don't want to end up feeling like a chump before doing research. I'm a freelance fashion designer looking to make a website that will act as an online portfolio and a hub for kids to contact me about custom work they'd like me to do. The thing about it is that I can't really put together a site, but a friend offered to do it for me (in Flash) for $85. My site , in turn would be doing him a favor by becoming a project in his portfolio. I'm just wondering if that seems like too much to pay for what i want done.

sound reasonable?
Crystal

New Voices Call for Submissions now live!

Hey Guys,

We just published the 2006 Telefilm New Voices Call for Submissions at our website - its a PDF you can download from http://www.dx.org/digifest .

Here's some info:

--

digifest has gone mod! The ‘mod’ theme - short for modern in the ‘60s - and currently used to mean modification - reveals inspiring and surprising innovations in digital design, art and cultural expression.

We invite you to participate in digifest 2006: mods, an interdisciplinary festival of the best in innovative new media, art and design from Canada and abroad. This year participants will have the opportunity to express the individual’s role within larger systems, be they political, social or corporate, through their own unique and personalized modifications to off-the-shelf products. Modification possibilities may range from personal computers to clothing; from podcasts to public space; from video games and cell phones to cars or dwellings. The do-it-yourself aspect of this year’s digifest means that the range of modifications is endless, with creativity leading the way in unconventional expression.

Each year 8-12 winners of the juried digifest New Voices call are invited to Toronto, Canada to showcase their work at one of digifest’s high-profile venues, which include Harbourfront Centre, Ontario Science Centre and Design Exchange. In 2006 we will showcase the most innovative transitions in product design from “modern” to “modification.” Work by selected presenters will be installed or displayed. Get your submission in today!

I'm pricing a site for a client of mine, and I'm quoting $2000, estimating 40 hours of work. This includes some ActionScript(TM), Flash(TM), and Shockwave(TM) audio integrated into a coherent whole of a kick-arse web site. Too high? Too low? Comments? Experience?

Okay so I am helping a friend with a site that is going to have long lists of companies. He wants people to be able to search the page and companies listed, by c ertain indentifiers (ie...zip code, area code, City etc...). A control F will do it on IE and Firefox, although the window and searching is a bit different. I like Mozilla's Firefox better because the lil window is in the botttom on the browser frame.

I tried inserting one of the ones from Front page 2003, but the look was all wrong and it was not customizable in size or appearance. Blech.

Ideally what I would like is a customizeable site search or page/text search for the pages on my friend's site.

Whaddya think?

web photo album

I'm trying to create a simple web photo album where all the thumbnails are on the bottom, and one giant image is above. And when you click the thumbnail, the large image changes and captions appear.

I've created a similar one with Photoshops automated web gallery feature:
http://www.rit.edu/~jgm5422/jakesworld/images/digital_album/index.htm

but it uses frames and puts that ugly scroll bar between the thumbnails and the big image. I guess if I play around the frames, I could get rid of the scrollbar, but frames aren't my cup of tea and usually look bad on Mozilla and/or Macs.

Any suggestions?

css ie/firefox ... placement error

http://www.russdionne.com/css-problem/

the right hand margin of the center frame is seemingly off give or take by 10 pixels depending on what browser you look at it in ..

is there a known solution for this ..

i am getting to like css but i am frustrated at how finicky it is .. this reminds me of why i went to flash based design ... you would think by this time they would have sorted out basic stuff like pixel accuracy ...

maybe it is something stupid i am doing .. but i would like to wrap my head around this ...

any suggestions ?
help on website

I just posted my new revised site but I'm still needing to make changes based on some feedback I've gotten.

Also, I'm looking to pay someone to redesign the homepage graphic. I need a simple ethnic neutral wedding graphic with some text. Unfortunately I don't have a logo and can't afford to have one designed. So I'll get that later.

Finally, I need suggestions on what better font I should use on my Packages page. Some users say the one I currently use is a little difficult to read.

I know many of you on this site are working designers so I'm not trying exploit your services. If you have an idea and an affordable rate for the homepage redesign, please just send me a message.

Here's the site: http://lifetimedigitalproductions.com

Thanks

spiral bound notebook look website

I'm looking for some royalty free 'gif' 'png' or 'jpg' pictures to create an small intranet website.

The website design is to be simulating a spiral bound notebook: a kind of mixture of:
http://www.williamson-labs.com/notebook.htm
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/203917/2/istockphoto_203917_spiral_bound_notebook_macro.jpg

So, i tell you if you know some websites with such designs and where i'll find the requested pictures...
As i said earlier, this website WILL NOT show on internet, so i can more or less copy some parts of existing websites. It would help me go faster...

Thanks a lot for helping

Some other relative pictures:

Hey all,
My name is Tapan Trivedi and I need your help. I am a standup comic . My website is www.indiancomedian.com . I see from my stats that a LOT of people are finding me but are not staying on the site. I need to 'jazz up the site' . Make it more interactive . Maybe add a game or something. Add my video clips. I already have a DVD so that should be ok. AND I need to get this cheap - comedy ain't paying much . What can I do ? What can you do for me ? etc etc etc.
Peace, Love and Happiness,
Tapan Trivedi
